Application area:

Through hole for tool steels up to 1200 N/mm²

Advantages:

Geometry

• Special groove geometry and rake for materials that are difficult to machine
• Smooth tool surface for low-friction chip removal

Coating/surface

• Particularly hard TiCN* (titanium carbon nitride) coating for additional protection of the cutting edge
• Coating ensures a smoother surface in the groove and in the thread profile
• Surface smoothing ensures reduced torque

Recommended applications

• Cutting speed up to vc = 8-12 m/min
• Use of cooling emulsion 6-8 %, or alternatively oil cooling

• Heat-treated steels up to 1200 N/mm², titanium alloys, heat-resistant steels, nitrided steel, reinforced plastics
