RECA INOX bits are vacuum oil hardened. These bits offer the relevant hardness and strength properties required for stainless steel screw connections.
Advice
- Although stainless steel is considered "rust-proof", precautions must be taken during processing to prevent "extraneous rust".
- This rust is caused by particles that adhere to standard steel materials. Such particles penetrate the surface of the stainless steel and transform into rust through exposure to oxygen.
- This can happen when tools made of conventional steel are used, for example. Rust can develop on these tools due to abrasion.
- Screwing presents a particular risk. In this case, contact is made with the screw, resulting in increased wear!
- Stainless steel needs tools made from stainless steel!
