Advice: Tightening the locking nut: Screw in locking nut by hand and then tighten 1/4 to 1/2 of a turn using a wrench. Releasing the locking nut: Fully tighten hexagon nut to release the spring effect of the locking teeth. The locking nut can then be loosened easily. Do not use the nut in applications with direct exposure to the weather or in wet rooms with atmospheres containing chlorine gas.
