- Glass
Glazing blocks are used for long-lasting, professional block setting of glazing units. They are the only connection between the frame and the glass edge in window construction.
Glazing blocks from polypropylene (PP) are used for load transfer, relieving the strain on glass edges, preventing the glazing from slipping and protecting the edge seal of the insulating glass. They support the movement of the hinge and help to avoid contact between the glass and the frame.
Advantages
- Open labyrinth ventilation system for optimum longitudinal and lateral ventilation and for drainage
- Optimal vapour-equalising effect for wooden windows
- Optimal load distribution and load transfer
- Average minimum surface area of 700 mm² according to the Hadamar Standard
- Ageing and plasticiser-resistant polypropylene containing a high recycled material content
- The block material is compatible with all common edge seal materials
- For universal use: also suitable for use as an underlay during assembly work, a tool for furniture work, for setting up and aligning
- The material is highly resistant to chemicals and resistant to all common adhesives
Advice
- Glass edges must not be overstrained and must not touch the frame at any point. The installation position and number of glazing blocks should comply with German Federal Association of the Glazier Trade directive no. 3.
- Colour variations can occur due to the recycled base material.
